Verif Service FAQ

Q: Does the name in the profile need to match? Do I need to change my name? A: No, it doesn’t matter. The process will go through smoothly even without changing the name. The main focus is on the name provided in the submitted materials.

Q: Does the country listed in the profile matter? A: No, the Verif process is carried out for all domains. No matter where exactly you use your item, you can complete the process through the US.

Q: What happens when the verification link expires? A: The link will simply stop working. However, you can request a new link from support. (We haven’t tried it), but there is no reason why they shouldn’t provide a new one. Alternatively, if your item is not needed right now, you can obtain a link from your profile when the process becomes mandatory for all items.

Q: What does “the process becomes mandatory” mean? A: Based on the experience of all platforms before, the Verif process is first tested on a small number of users, gradually increasing the number to fix possible issues, and then it is introduced as a mandatory requirement for every user — whether new or existing. The Verif process will most likely become more complex (for people like us), which will lead to higher labor and financial costs, ultimately affecting the price of the service and items. Therefore, as strange as it may sound, it might be more beneficial to complete the process now rather than when it becomes mandatory and expensive.

Q: I have tickets. What should I do? A: You can try transferring the tickets to another item. Many people have this option, but we cannot guarantee a 100% success rate. Try it — each case is individual.

Q: What does it mean that you are not responsible and why do I pay for the service regardless of the outcome? A: In this process, only 20% of the result depends on us, while the remaining 80% depends on TM. Even if you pass the Verif process, the human factor is still present — during manual review, someone might click the wrong button or simply decide they don’t like something. Meanwhile, we have already incurred financial and labor costs. Therefore, we are only responsible for our 20%.

Q: What triggers receiving the “Happy Letter”? A: Absolutely anything. Your item may remain unused for a year and stay inactive, but still receive a link. The further the tests go, the more items get the link. You shouldn’t try to guess, bypass, or avoid it. This process is like a tsunami — eventually, it will cover everything. Either you need your item and go through the process, or you put it off indefinitely.
